Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you keep giving of yourself?

You give and give, until physically, mentally, and emotionally there is nothing left to give.

Be it in your professional, personal life, or social life… if you find this is happening, sometimes, you just need to let go… let go and accept that sometimes your best just isn’t good enough, and sometimes that’s ok.

Giving should be effortless.  It should be one of life’s simple pleasures.  There are some however, who take away from this simple pleasure.  They make your desire and willingness to give a chore.  They take away the joy and self-gratification one normally feels by engaging in this simple act of kindness.

When giving becomes a task, and you find your heart is hardened from a lack of appreciation or respect on the receiver’s part, that’s usually a good indication it may very well be time to stop giving to that person, that cause, or that situation.

We give not because we have to.  We give because we choose to do so.

So for those of you on the receiving end, try to remember this!  You have no right or ownership to that which is given.  So please remember to count your blessings, and to show a little genuine respect and appreciation from time to time.

For those of you on the giving end – don’t let a few unappreciative souls take away the joy of giving from you.  Sometimes our best just isn’t good enough for some, but let me remind you once more… sometimes that’s completely ok.
